Mid-South Food Bank

On-line Donations:  www.midsouthfoodbank.org

The Mid-South Food Bank recently had to turn away empty-handed some 200 pre-certified clients because the Food Bank ran completely out of food. Our Deacons have responded to this crisis, brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic by making on-line personal donations.

Please make your donations in honor of Rosemark First Presbyterian Church and have the acknowledgment sent to our Church Treasurer, Harry Lee Davidson, Elder, 139 St. Andrews Fairway, Memphis TN 38111, so our church can receive credit toward a matching donation for the church!

Rosemark Country Fair

At this annual event which our church helps sponsor, Rosemark FPC runs a booth to introduce visitors to our church and our ministries, both in the community and around the world. Church members are available to “put our best foot forward,” welcome visitors, and answer questions. We prepare, pack, and distribute gift bags with favors for children and church brochures for adults. For more information and to participate, contact Growth Team Co-Chairs Norma and Jerry Owens.

Next Rosemark Country Fair Projected to be: Saturday, 25 September 2021 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

The fair involves a large number of booths, displays, and exhibits. The 2018 fair features a new exhibit on shepherding dogs. The exhibit includes Border Collies and Australian Shepherds plus others. Refreshments are available. Last year we saw art work, classic cars and tractors, a blacksmith at work, and a variety of farm animals.  We also made many new friends. Entry is free!

Northaven Elementary School

Just launched, our new Mission Project will involve our “adopting” the Northaven School.  Among Shelby County Schools, Northaven is extremely challenged with regard to funding and resources. We believe Jesus loves children, and so we are reaching out with love in His name.  We are rejoicing in a generous gift to help us pioneer this ministry. Please see the letter of thanks and the pictures from Northaven on the bulletin board in the church lobby.  Contact: Rosemark Presbyterian Women. Please also see “Socks for Tots” below.

“Socks for Tots,”

We will collect new socks and underwear for Boys & Girls at Nothaven Elementary School.  Sizes should be from Toddler PK to Grade 5. Many children come to school in the cold weather without socks!

The next offering will be received Sunday, 13 December 2020
